Create or change sections, with short code, description, parent category and an optional access tag.

In short: With this file you create your sections or change them. vynst (inwendo ERP) recognises existing sections by their number.

What you need this for

Sections are the basis for memberships, offers and access. Create the sections first, then import the memberships.

Before you start

• Rights: You need write access for contacts (CRM). Administrator rights are not required.
• Parent category first: If a parent category appears in the file, it must appear further up or already exist in vynst. Otherwise the assignment remains empty.
• No deletion: Sections that are missing from the file remain in vynst.

Prepare the file

• File name: It must contain .csv, for example sparten.csv.
• Header row: The first columns are UNIFIED_CATEGORY_IDENTIFIER and UNIFIED_CATEGORY_NAME, in this order. Alternatively, UNIFIED_CATEGORY_SHORT_IDENTIFIER stands between the two.
• Separator: Semicolon or comma. The header row shows which one is used.
• Numbers: Use short codes with letters, for example FB. A pure number is first looked up by vynst as your number from an earlier import. If there is none, vynst looks it up as an internal number. If that hits a different section, that one is changed. Therefore, check the list after the first import with numbers.
• Yes/No: ja or nein.

Columns

Important for CREATE_ACCESS_TAG: Every value except empty and 0 creates an access tag, including nein or false. Leave the cell empty or enter 0 if no tag should be created.

The section FB-JUG is a subcategory of FB. The section TUR receives no access tag, because the last cell is empty.

How to proceed

1. Create the parent categories first in the file.
2. Open Settings → Import (Einstellungen → Import).
3. Click Add (Hinzufügen) and select the file.
4. Read the log and check the number of rows read.

Good to know

• A repeated import with the same number changes the section. Columns that are missing from the file remain unchanged.
• If a column is present in the file but a cell is empty, the field is cleared. This applies to slug, descriptions and parent category.
• Always fill IS_PUBLIC and IS_UI_FILTER with ja or nein.
• An access tag is only created if the section does not have one yet. An existing tag with the same short code is reused. If the section had no tag yet, this tag receives the name of the section.
• There is no undo. If there are errors, correct the file and import it again.

When something does not work

An unknown parent category does not appear in the log. The assignment then remains empty. Check the number.
