Change one field for many accounts
Sets a single field of a billing account in a list, for example the company name or a flat-rate surcharge, for many accounts at once.
- Format
- CSV (comma or semicolon), UTF-8
- Access rights
- Administrator, write contacts (CRM)
- Example file
- konten-feld-beispiel_technisch.csv (download)
In short: Per row, you write one billing account, the name of the field and the new value. For example, you can change the company name or a flat rate for many accounts at the same time.
What you need this for
If a detail changes for many accounts at the same time, for example after a price increase or a renaming, this file is faster than doing it by hand.
Before you start
- Rights: You need the access right Imports (Importe) and be an Administrator with write access for Contacts (CRM) (Kontakte (CRM)).
- Account number: The column
ACCOUNT_IDENTIFIERneeds the account number as it is stored in vynst (for exampleK-1001), or the imported ID of the account (for exampleAFS_CSV_K-1001), or the short name. A pure number such as1001is understood by vynst as an internal record number. Check a test row first on an account you know. - Backup: Before larger changes, export your accounts.
Prepare the file
- File name: Free choice, it must end with
.csv. The file is recognised by its header row. - Header row:
ACCOUNT_IDENTIFIER;UPDATE_SINGLE_FIELD_NAME;FIELD_VALUE. A comma instead of a semicolon also works. Instead ofACCOUNT_IDENTIFIER,COMPANY_IDENTIFIERis also possible. - Per row: one account, one field, one value.

How to proceed
- Open Settings → Import (Einstellungen → Import).
- Click Add (Hinzufügen) and select the file.
- Wait until the entry is green or red.
- Check the log for rows with
Error:.
Good to know
- Effective immediately: There is no preview. The changes apply with the import.
- Empty values: vynst skips an empty cell in
FIELD_VALUEorUPDATE_SINGLE_FIELD_NAMEwithout a message. To clear a field, writeSET_IW_EMPTYorSET_IW_NULL. - Several rows for the same account: They are applied one after another. The last row wins.
