You create membership-fee products with a few details, or update them via the same product number.

In short: A table with product number, name and price is enough. Identical numbers update existing products, new numbers create products.

What you need this for

To start your fees in vynst, you often do not need all the settings of a product. This file takes over the most important details. For all settings, there is the import Products (full).

Before you start

• Rights: You need the role Administrator with write access for products.
• Optionally imported beforehand: Sections, if you include the section ID. Offers and rooms, if you want to link them. Accounts, if you include an account number.
• Backup: The import cannot be undone at the click of a button. Before you start, export the products under Settings → Export (Einstellungen → Export).

Prepare the file

• File name: Must contain AFS_PRODUCT_ and .csv, for example AFS_PRODUCT_beitraege.csv.
• Header row: Product number, name and price must be present. None of these columns may be the last column.
• Separator: Semicolon or comma. Use the same character throughout the file.
• Prices: The default decimal separator is the point, so 12.50. With the column PRICE_FORMAT and the value de, 12,50 and 1.234,50 are also allowed.
• Date: This import does not need a date.

How to proceed

1. Open Settings → Import (Einstellungen → Import).
2. Click Add (Hinzufügen) and select the file.
3. Wait until the entry in the list is green.
4. Read the log. Every row with Error: was not taken over.

Good to know

• Repeated import: A known product number updates the product. A new number creates a new product.
• Sections: If the section column is present in the file, vynst replaces the sections of the product. An empty cell removes all sections.
• Empty cells in name and product number lead to a skipped row. For other fields, the previous value of an existing product is kept.
• Comma in the price without PRICE_FORMAT: If 12,50 is in the file and the column PRICE_FORMAT with de is missing, vynst reads only the part before the comma.
